Girls with P.E.A.R.L.S. Leadership Academy (Powerful, Effective And Relevant Leadership Skills)
Research shows girls’ self-confidence peaks at age nine, then drops as they advance through high school. Designed for girls who dream big and know they are leaders or want to be leaders. Through ongoing empowerment workshops/activities, our girls will find their voice, gain life skills, develop self-confidence, explore education and career choice and learn to advocate for themselves and others. We focus on building leadership within individual girls first, including self-confidence, personal accountability and long-term goal setting.
Mentoring P.E.A.R.L.S.
In today’s media influenced world, it is not easy for girls and young women of color, to develop a healthy sense of self-worth, self-respect and purpose. To do this they must learn to navigate peer pressure and negative messages. By leveraging the power of mentoring relationships, every girl is one meaningful connection away, from becoming the leader they are meant to be. To build their future on a solid platform, we connect our girls and young women with a mentor to help them develop into strong and confident women. Mentors can be formal or informal, including volunteers who interact with girls on a regular basis. Mentors not only act as role models who can inspire and foster leadership, they can also be important models of ethical values.
One to One mentoring promotes a structured relationship where the mentor focuses solely on the mentee. The primary goal is to help the mentee acquire life skills and increase their self-esteem.
Group mentoring allows us to impact the lives of young ladies, while providing them an opportunity to develop their own peer support system. Our hands-on group activities are both engaging and informative.

EMPOWHER Teen Moms!
The responsibilities of being a teen mom and trying to balance school, a social life and possibly a job, can be exhausting. EMPOWHER Teen Moms! is a teen pregnancy and prevention program focused on helping teens delay sexual activity, reduce risky behaviors and avoid an unplanned or repeat pregnancy. Whether a young woman has entered motherhood or merely engaged in sexual activity, each still has the ability to achieve her dreams. EMPOWHER Teen Moms! helps girls realize the pitfalls the have encountered and their triumphant resurrection are both keys to not only their empowerment, but also others. EMPOWHER Teen Moms! teaches every girl her story of resilience is worth bragging about.
