Advocacy 101 A growing youth movement is occurring across the country. Youth are protesting for gender equality, reproductive health and education. These youth are passionate about sharing their stories. Be That G.I.R.L. offers training on the some basic steps youth can take to develop a strategy, build collective power, and use that power to create meaningful, lasting change.
We focus on teaching youth to:
Advocacy – influence decisions and create change.
Community organizing – build power as a group and use this power to create positive change in people’s lives.
Collective Power – take their campaign to the masses by reaching out to potential supporters.
Effective Communication – write their story. Storytelling is a powerful tool for activism.
